Hello everyone; here is another exquisite poem written and narrated by Amber Raine; it is entitled

Shattered

Background music “Lover’s Touch” by Smartsound.

Here is the text:

Shattered, my emotions in pieces on the floor
Broken, my heart begging for you to adore
Fractured, my smile ceases to be
Splintered, my memories of us wishing to be created and set free
Aching, my arms wishing to embrace you ever so tight
Starless, my dreams empty without you each night
Take these scattered puzzle pieces of what is left of me
From your hands to the table combine them if it is meant to be
Fear to speak my love for you leave it to be left unknown
Piece them together if you wish building the image which is shown
Turned and placed this piece indeed does fit into there
Each secret I have locked away becoming clearer, do you dare?
Continue filling the gaps the picture matching the display
My heart once again becoming complete with each piece that is played
Last piece now rests trembling and volatile within your shaking hand
Do you dare finish the puzzle or place it aside, your choice depicts where we stand.

Hello everyone, this is another powerful and emotional poem written and narrated by Amber Raine, of Avatars Radio, entitled

Forbidden Love

Background music is “Romance Sonata” by Smartsound. Here is the text:

Forbidden Love, by Amber Raine

Aimless in the darkness of the abyss,
Elvin and Dragon, the one to be two
Let me escape this loneliness
Fend off these cravings for you

Restricted to this fate
Blood-red tears on morning dew
My life turned upside down
Forbidden is love, with or without you

Previously finding peaceful insanity
You break my walls, I let you inside
Your face remains to haunt me
I shall die here my love, freedom denied

Erratic now is my sensibility
Save me from this pain of day
Your draconian wings to set me free
Our forbidden love will find a way.

Hello everyone. This is a beautiful and dark poem written and performed by Amber Raine. Background music is “Lover’s Touch/Missing you” by Smartsound.

Here is the text:

The Pain within, the Pain without, by Amber Raine

Black as nightmares are my dreams
Pure starless darkness is my night
Creating tainted fake smiles, my heart so broken
Nothing any longer worth the fight.

Black as eclipses are my tears
Blinding behind my bleeding eyes
No rainbows, no golden rays shall reappear
No-one else will she hold so dear

Black are my deepest thoughts
Violently wandering in my head
Can no longer draw the picture to connect the dots
No longer knowing the difference between good and bad

Black has become my world
Pitch-dark outside and in
All the vortexes have become swirled
No more shadows to hide within

Black is all that shall ever remain
I let go, forever releasing him.
I am fighting no more
From behind my personal black prison door.

Hello everyone, this is Asclepius. This is a great poem written by zerowon, entitled Blackest before the Dawn. It is brought to us by our special guest narrator JLWChambers. Background music “Soliloquy” by Matthew Pablo, at www.matthewpablo.com.

T’is truly the end when light fades to black,
T’is truly the end when there’s no going back,
So swallow your fear and gather your pride,
Grasp on some courage and prepare for the tide.

The battle is lost yet the war’s just begun,
Masking the battle by setting the sun,
Twilight beckons the night to return,
Illuminated ashes where bodies once burned.

T’is blackened times in Novia now,
Thousands of mortals take hero some vows,
For now they know t’is past the hour,
To right the land of the wrongs that devour.

The scorching of earth,
Dead children at birth,
No cleansed souls,
No body of worth.

For now is the time,
to undo what is wrong,
The end of all virtue,
The end of this song.

So rise now heroes,
Of this I implore,
Fight for a land,
We all shall restore.

Remember now
Before I am gone,
Its always the blackest,
Before you see dawn.

Hello everyone, Asclepius here, with a collection of haikus. These are some of the haikus submitted for Dame Lori’s carnival contest, and the authors have given us permission to broadcast them. Thanks to everyone who participated! Background music is “Summer Dream” by Smartsound.

DizzySol

For nights, for days, we
the forgotten kings and queens,
lay, waiting, for truth

waiting between time
layers and layers forming
anticipation

sweet release, washing
over us completely, dark,
drowning sensation

Stile Teckel

Lori is back again
Ala, Ala, Lori is back again
The fun shall begin

Bubonic

By the warm campfire,
I gaze at the shattered moon,
Lost in dreams of Earth.

Ronan

Hammer beats rhythm
in caves so dark and deep
music of lost souls

Lord Beaumaris

A dream of odd sheep
Thine helm faced its mortal blow
Purple llamas leap

Once shining and pure
Our compromise, betrayal
Forsaken virtues

Asclepius

The shattered moon weeps
Land ravaged by time and Fall
Daedalus waits high

DarkStarr brings chaos
OneandOnly brings mass death
Lord British brings life

Drink some mead with me
The tavern sways and blanks out
Drink more mead with me!

Crystals deep in mines
Kobolds and satyrs on guard
Adventurers die

Shardfall – by Languard – Narrated by Asclepius

Hello everyone, Asclepius here, with a wonderful poem by Languard. This is a rather complex poetic form, called a sestina, and the piece is entitled Shardfall.  Background music “Romance Sonata” by Smartsound.

Shardfall

In the past hung two moons,
Silvery light drifting with grace so cool.
The lake shining with gentle glare,
with all the night taking a moment to be still.
Smoothly swaying with no chaos,
a gentle and loving lunar dance.

But what could be changing the dance?
When you should be there, why are you here moon?
Should we fear this new chaos,
Let our lunar passion cool?
The night may be still,
but the water has an ominous glare.

What is this fearsome glare?
What is happening now is no lunar dance,
A moment when all is still…
Then where there was two, now but one moon!
Heat and raging streaks of fire replace night’s cool.
Absolute. Unrelenting. Chaos.

Cries echo to uncaring chaos,
the lake holding red death’s glare.
To mourn a friend now cool,
seeking shelter in a morbid dance,
what more do you wish for us moon?
When will you again be still?

But if you will not relent, we will not be still.
Virtue will shine in the chaos.
Glow shards, a new moon
casting and flickering across the lake’s glare.
With strength and stride we dance,
and wait for the night to cool.

With time passed, the fires are cool.
Once again the night is still.
With new heart and name, Deadalus does his dance.
Virtue changed but virtue still, re-forged by chaos.
Gentle lake holding this glittering glare
of our new sharded moon.

Virtue shines best in the fires of chaos,
but take care you don’t lose sight in the glare.
The world spins on with its new moon.

Trapper’s Poem to Dame Lori-Narrated by Lord Baldrith

Hello Everyone. Lord Baldrith here with a Poem written by Trapper for Dame Lori During the Poet’s Circle Poetry Contest. No title is given to this poem. The beauty of it’s words are enough.

Here is the text:

My main submission for the Hearts of Britannia contest:

I Love Her, Though

I’ve heard the songs of many bards

Proclaiming their powerful love.

They smile and sing to great applause,

In taverns below and above

This old city’s main street, look there,

One plays songs for a young maid now.

See how her eyes, lost in his smile,

As he ends his show with a bow.

But what they know, it is not love

Of this truth, I surely do swear.

For I have known the whole of it,

Love’s triumph but also despair.

I’ll tell you, if you wish to know

Of a love, my love, Dame Lori,

It may not be worthy of songs

Or bards, or fit for king or queen.

I simply wish to tell of her,

Pray listen and I will explain;

She walks the stars and moon above,

While dancing in each drop of rain.

She loved the first frost of winter

And also the first day of spring.

I found it odd that one could love

Life and death as similar things.

I understand this better now,

For I love her, though she is gone.

I still see her in year’s first frost

And hear her voice in springs first dawn.

Lord Baldrith here with an awesome and quite brutal poem by Blaquerogue.  I hope I did it justice!

Here is the text:

Oath of the Warsworn Gripping his sword tight the blood rushed to his hands,

He was the sworn protector of these war torn lands,

Even though death was likely to prevail,

This one mission he could not fail,

Innocent lives were at stake this dark and dreary day,

A storm brewed on the horizon clouds dark and grey,

Climbing upon his mount he rode off towards the storm,

His shadowy figure a silhouette strong and stout was his form,

The people shouted praise as he passed through the street,

The evil that plagued them soon death it would meet,

No shiny armour no medals not even high born,

Off into battle he stayed true to the oath of “War Sworn”,

Although he was a Hospitlar healer of pain,

He was Warrior first and foremost the strongest link in the chain,

As metal clashed with metal and blood stained the ground,

This one single warrior would not be downed,

Beaten to the mud fighting from his knees,

He held firm his footing solid as Oak trees,

As the bodies lay around he felt a sudden and sharp pain,

He knew that his enemies this day, were not the only ones to be slain,

He fell over into the mud and took his last breath,

Felt the cold chill creeping up on him followed by death,

He fought well this last battle and Bards shall sing his name,

Although he was a modest Knight unknown he shall remain.
