While doing today’s update it occurred to us that tomorrow is his birthday, and this project is inspired from some his work. We should send him some of the items from the Kickstarter if it funds!
So that is going to be implemented as a goal. Currently giving people an opportunity to discuss the details before implementing it. Go check out today’s update for the details!

Comments Off on Check Out Our Kickstarter For Virtue Playing Cards, Now Live!
Shawn M. Hescock of Geeks Collaborating and Stile “Eric Higby” Teckel of Caveloot.com have partnered up to run another Kickstarter!
You may (or may not) be familiar with out last Kickstarter for Adventure Post. Some of the Virtue Artwork for Adventure post, done by Indi Martin, is so fantastic we felt it needed to be spotlighted in a couple of different ways as its own project.
The first one we are bringing to Kickstarter is for a deck of Playing Cards which feature this fantastic and original artwork!
Head on over to the Kickstarter if you want to learn more about the project, and hopefully support it!
We have new art! We recently commissioned Alisha Volkman for two logos. One for our home site and store, Caveloot.com, and the other for our Dice Subscription Box, Dice Looters.
If you are not familiar with our Dice Looters project yet, it is a monthly Dice Subscription box by mail. For ease of subscription management it is setup as a Patreon and you can learn more about it there.
One of the reasons we like Patreon for this as it makes it very easy for you to control your subscription, including changing the levels when you want. As we have different offerings at different levels!
We didn’t one to leave anyone out, so we also have offerings for International as well as domestic. There are even oppertunities to earn dice as low as the $1.00 tier!
Speaking of Patreon, one of the other products we are involved in, Adventure Post, is doing quite well also! We recently Kickstarted this project and the fullfillment for episode 2 is being done by Patreon. If you didnt Kickstart episode one, that is ok! There will be oppertunities to purchase that in the near future, right here on Caveloot.com
Adventure Post is a series of solo-mini-adventures delivered to your door on a postcard each week. Every week is a small portion of an overall larger campaign which will take many, many weeks to come to conclusion. The postcard will include a QR code or website address that will direct you to the weekly adventure document. The document will explain the setup, instructions, and key areas on the adventure map.
Once the Pre-order store opens we will also be setting up to take orders in Caveloot.com Stores as well. So don’t worry if you missed the Kickstarter! We will still have ways for you to get Adventure Post.
Additionally be sure to check out the Adventure Post Patreon!
We will not be posted any “paid creations” until after A Path of Self-Learning has been fully distributed to all Kickstarter backers; the estimated date for this is June 17th. However, we will be posting teasers and freebies along the way. So, sign up, enjoy free things, and check out A Path of Self-Learning and Adrift to join the adventure in the meantime.
The Language of Magic is a deck-building card game for 1 to 4 players inspired by the works of Richard Garriott.
The Language of Magic is a deck-building card game which can be played in two ways: 2-player duel – players attempt to build an arsenal of powerful Words of Magic to overcome their opponent, or 2-4 player cooperative or solitary play – players work together to battle the Lich and its minions, defeating it before it can cast its final spell. As a solo or co-op player, you take on the role of the Avatar, chosen heroes of spirituality…who are to do battle with the Master of Hythloth, the vile Nefarious Lord Zorhkar and his minions of the abyss.
There are 26 words of power, each representing their own idea. These words can be combined to make powerful spells to harm, mend, protect, or alter the creatures and the world around you. Some words, the incantations, direct the polarity of the spell. Will you create, negate, or steal? Other words add elemental powers, some can add to or multiply the effect. There are so many possible spells, you will need to play it for yourself to see what you can come up with.
From the Creator, Shawn Michael Hescock: The Language of Magic came about from my long-time appreciation for the world which Richard Garriott created. Specifically the MMO, Ultima Online. As a kid, teenager, and young adult I put many hours into the game and, even though it has been running for just over 20 years, I still go back to it from time to time just to relive the experience. It is a masterpiece of a game that will never get old and my only hope is that we created something that pays the proper respect.
